Exciting title fight in Formula Winter Series

The Formula Winter Series will conclude its 2024 season with three races at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, and fans can look forward to a thrilling battle for the title! Mathematically, ten drivers could still win the championship, however, two favourites have emerged over the course of the season.

Griffin Peebles (MP Motorsport, 121 points) and Andrés Cárdenas (Campos Racing, 116 points) occupy the top two positions in the overall standings, while third-placed Maciej Gladysz is already 36 points behind the Peruvian Cárdenas. Gladysz, who also drives for MP Motorsport, leads the rookie standings. Peebles and Cárdenas are also in step with each other in terms of race wins – the two youngsters have each won two races so far, and both had a difficult weekend with few points scored between them at Motorland Aragon.

Thanks to the strong results of Peebles and Gladysz, MP Motorsport is also leading the team standings, for which the two best-placed drivers of a team are counted towards the points table. MP Motorsport has a 34-point lead over the German team US Racing in the standings. Campos Racing follows in third place.
